Love Yourself Be Drug Free

Red Ribbon Week: October 27-31, 2014

Red Ribbon Week is a way for communities and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of children through a commitment to drug prevention and education and a personal commitment to live drug free lives.


There will be activities on campus to celebrate Red Ribbon Week! The 2014 National Theme is “Love Yourself Be Drug Free.

Please encourage your child to participate in the following activities:

Wednesday - Day 1:  Rally In Red Day
  • Everyone wears red!
  • Lunch time -the history of Red Ribbon Week is read.
Thursday - Day 2:  Say No To Drugs Day!
  • Officer Willix talks to P.E. classes about drug awareness.
Friday - Day 3:  “Sock It to Drugs Day”
  • Everyone wears the craziest socks!




 
October is National Bullying Prevention Month 

The month of October is dedicated to encouraging everyone to take an active role in bullying prevention. 

The campaign was founded in 2006 by PACER’S National Bullying Prevention Center to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention. The 2014 Theme is “The END of Bullying BEGINS with You!”

OCPS has a zero tolerance policy for bullying.
